Example, if you have a knee issue, working each part of your body for 2 minutes is fine but it's NOT going to help your knee. You need specific work/techniques done in a concentrated manner on the problem area, and that's what this is. All the best techniques designed specifically with your needs in mind.
No pretty lights, no relaxing music (unless you really feel you need it), no candles, no whisper in your ear, etc...that is not what we do.
If you have muscular/soft tissue problems, you don't need cucumber water, you need the BEST. This is muscle therapy to the EXTREME.
You have pain, muscular imbalance, adhesion/scar tissue, knots, joint restriction, perfect, let's get to work on it!
In short...yes. Some clients will say, "It doesn't feel the best." Some will say, "It hurts so good." It's not the goal to cause pain while performing the therapy techniques. I would say usually the worse the restriction/issue the less pleasant it feels. I will always keep your pain tolerance in mind and will never push you past your c

Water over rocks takes a long time to make a change. A bulldozer into a wall knocks it down pretty quick.
Soft tissue mobilization through manual therapy techniques are essential for proper function of the muscular skeleton. Restrictions in the muscle/Fascia can cause postural imbalances, reduced performance and pain.
Sometimes manual therapy isn't enough. IASTM or Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization is done with scraping tools that are designed to breakup stubborn scar tissue/adhesions that may require more care. Minor bruising can occur, but is only temporary and the benefits makeup for the discomfort. Multiple sessions with these tools may be needed.
Cupping comes in a few different styles. I perform 'active cupping' as well as 'sliding cupping'. 'Active cupping' is performed with cups placed at specific muscular sites while actively moving extremities. This helps to increase range of motion and breakup fascia restrictions. I am the owner/operator of Extreme Muscle Therapy. I attended Globe College as well as Centerpoint MN which included specialized studies in Kinesiology, advanced anatomy, sports massage, manual therapy, therapeutic bodywork, personal training, nutrition, and other various therapeutic modalities. I have personally experienced a broken neck, herniated disks, torn muscles/tendons and multiple other injuries. My injuries and experiences have lead to my passion for helping others.
The muscular anatomy of the body has always fascinated me and it has been my goal to help people with their muscular imbalances. It's amazing what can be achieved with the right techniques! I am not very traditional in the sense that I believe all bodywork therapy is beneficial, but concentrated work is the key to success. Two minutes on each area of the body or one hour isolated to the problem. The math is simple.
